Thank you Iceman! . . . I'm open to any tips - or criticism - that you or anyone else has to offer. I actually did put a stack of books on top of my scanner (maybe not heavy enough). But a couple of these already had the vertical creases on either side of the "binding" - so for those it wouldn't have mattered how heavy the books were!
But I'm fairly new to this - that "Monster Jam / X360 / NTSC / Cover" was my first scan (and I think my best too). But I have no image tools - just the Epson Scan software that came with it, and then (I'm embarassed to admit) just MS Office Picture Manager; which is OK . . . decent color/brightness correction capabilities; but I can only rotate in 90deg. increments (no "straightening" feature).
