Metal Gear Solid: 2 or 3?

Hey guys,

I was thinkin of getting myself a copy of Metal Gear Solid either Sons of Liberty or Snake Eater (2 or 3) but I'm not sure which one to get.

I've heard mixed reviews for both - some say the second one is heaps better then the third, and that the third game is a real let down - but then I've heard it rocks.. so I guess I'll just go with whatever people reckon is the best one. So far Snake Eater seems the favourite.. but I just wanted to find out what you guys thought of the games as well before I commit to getting one or the other.

i found the second one was a tad more true to the first game than the third. i'm not a big fan of the third, not saying it wasn't a great game, but i'm not too much into the stealthy, make sure you eat some food kinda game...i want to kill kill kill....

I agree with kingsyze. Everyone thought MGS3 was the best game ever created. I really did not enjoy it at all. I loved MGS1 and 2, but could not, in any way, shape or form get into 3.

Just about every gaming mag and site things opposite of me, so in no way am I saying I'm right, but in my opinion, 1 was the best, and 2 is the closest thing to it. I would play 2 over 3 any day of the week.

Hmmm Personally I found myself liking MGS3 more than MGS2...Personally I did like Raiden...but I found that the CQC in MGS3 made the game alot more fun to play with out using weapons...OF course your not gonna be playing this game with no weapons...but Its fun to just unequip em and see how many Guys you can kill without them...
And if you want some real fun...without the bird eye camera...Get MGS3 subsistence....Its really fun...And it has this Secret theatre with alot of funny clips...

Any way if you can... Get both...They should be around $10-$25 so they are not that expensive...But if you have to choose one...Id say get the Subsistence version of MGS3... For its online play and its cool storyline..
