Sure. I thought Resident Evil 4 was one of the best looking games in this generation of systems.
I plan on getting a Wii when it comes out and the graphical power is very similar to that of the cube. Slightly better, but not much, which is fine by me, I'm all about the new gameplay experiences. |

Nintendo has always been about gameplay, which is why, I think, most of their games are consistently fun to play and just overall, a great playing experience. While graphics are important, gameplay is what makes or breaks a videogame for me. Therefore, as far as Nintendo is concerned, as long as their gameplay is consistent, I will always be a fan of theirs, and continue to support their products

it's been said before i'm sure, but i agree, RE4 was absolutely amazing to look at, and gameplay on that game was spot on. which begs the question, if they can make games look that good on the system, then why do they settle for such crappy graphics on almost all the other games. the wii has some definite promise to it, but hopefully they don't skimp on the graphics this time.

Don't be fooled by current screenshots, they do not at all reflect the Wii's power. ![]() |

I always thought gamecube looked better then a PS2 easily, but not quite an Xbox. The only thing PS2 was better with was dvd video because it had a dvd size worth of space to work with. Gamecube had to ultra compress any full motion videos or the like. I love the Wii but right now, I think gamecube games look better then most wii games which shouldn't be.
Funny too, am I the only one who sees vertical lines when playing gamecube resident evil 4 on my wii in Progressive Mode on a widescreen tv. I mean it looks ugly to me, fun game but the graphics look bad, at least on a wii, in progressive mode, on an HD tv. Other gamecube games look just fine. |

Nintendo seems lately to be less of a machine and more of a toy. More kids games and less adult games. We have the GC and many other systems except for the PS3. The PS2 blew away the GC and the PS3 and 360 blows away the Wii. That is why the larger and better games are on the other systems and not Nintendo. It just depends on if you want to play games like Pokemon or Mario based games.
As for the graphics, yes I enjoyed the GC. I still have a Sega Dreamcast and play Soul Calibur on it and well as 2 3D0 systems with Star Control 2 and Killing Time. Like I said, if you want to play the games, you need the system!!! |
