Great Site, mutual friendship request.

Hi there, first off I would like to say great site, and that your covers here are great. I think that it is great that we all love covers and have alot of good choices when it comes to finding covers on the web.

The reason I am writing this post is because I myself love to scan covers. Actually alot of the covers that are requested here I have in full 300 dpi quality. I had so many scans that I started my own site but want to share some files here also. I noticed that alot of the covers requested here I actually have. And some of the covers already posted I also have very clean scans of also. If you allow me, I would like to show you my site and I will also post some covers here also if allowed. The site is kinda beta right now but definitely fully functional.

I would like to hear the webmasters thoughts on this. I am definitely not here to take away from you, I just like covers and would definitely tell anyone on my site about cover galaxy, if they dont already know.

Currently I am just going public and thought that it would be nice to share some of my stuff here also, and have a friendship with covergalaxy.

Wow, of all the unforseen circumstances that could happen, unfortunately I most likely will be taking the site down, for familiy reasons, four months of work probably gone so dont worry about the site, I did talk to RangerXXX about the covers, about half of them are retouched and half are raw scans that are acceptable to put on the site. I think there might be quite a few that are not here on the site, so I will still post and upload them to the site so you guys can have more covers for your games. I will try to get them on as soon as possible.
Also for anyone interested I have every single dreamcast game here with me, I might be able to entertain any special requests, but not at this time since I have to deal with stuff. I'll be around for sure. Keep up the good work!

what would it take for you to post, every single dreamcast game needed here on the site? let's talk a way to entertain special requests?

Well, I have to take care of the family issue first, but it would be easiest for me to just do straight scans, no touch up, dust removal etc.. because as I stare at the pile of games, I see tons of work. I do have dust the scanner prior to every scan but some do slip by, and I dont have the scanning software setup to compensate for color correcting on the fly, I usually just do that in photoshop, but it would be less time consuming to just scan and send and have someone else take care of all that stuff. When I say I have every game, I just want to add that I dont have Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 limited editions, just the regular sonic adventures, or any of the all-star games (the ones that are re released) but theres say only like 10 or 15 games there maybe. I dont really care to have the all star covers) Same covers I think with a slighly different tray insert art. Also I dont collect demo discs. But I do have the 3 bleemcast games. I have to find some motivation to do these, you really should see the collection, theres probably over 250 games here, about 4 scans each, (front, rear, tray and disc) , would be well over 1000 scans, some 2 -4 disc games, etc... I was actually about 2 seconds from putting the collection up on ebay here soon since I need the money for other stuff and my girl is trippin about the space my game collection is takin up. I'll post a photo of the collection so you can see what I mean. So maybe I'll just scan the ones people want the most. So that I dont get to overwhelmed. Maybe you can hold a dreamcast request pole or something to see what people might want. And pick out the top picks or whatever.

Oops edit, I said I didnt collect demo discs but I forgot that I that I did have them, I think 11 of them came out back in the day, I think I have like 9 of em. Have to dig them out of the box, not that anyone would want them anyway, just putting it out there.

well let me know when you have some time after you are finished dealing with your crisis. I would be more than happy to help clean up the scans and post them up for you, i could try to compile a list of what the site has already so you can ignore those ones right away, either way let me know, i'm definitely interested in getting every dreamcast cover in 300 dpi on this site...let me know buddy.

for me, which i of course don't speak for everyone, would not worry about scanning the inlay, i'm not sure how many people need this, and i think getting the front and back are always the most important....(might be bias since i don't scan disc's... ha!)

Yep, the front and back covers are what most people wants, inlays, insides, no probs, if you don't scan them.
